GRV-07e Explosion-Proof Horn Loudspeaker
Explosion-proof loudspeakers are designed for use as a sound source in fire and security alarm systems, industrial and technological loud-speaking communication and other kinds of annunciation and acoustic warning operating jointly with receiving and control equipment and amplifiers.
In fire-alarm systems, loudspeakers are used as explosion-proof voice alarm devices providing broadcasting of fire alert and evacuations instructions.
Explosion-proof loudspeakers are used at chemical, oil and gas production, oil and gas processing industry enterprises and in explosion hazardous areas of other production facilities.

To prevent the speakers from failing due to the output voltage of the broadcasting amplifier and to prevent a series of loudspeakers connected in parallel in a broadcasting area from damaging the power amplifier output transformer by the combined low resistance, matching audio-frequency transformers are used in the loudspeakers. Depending on the rated operating power of the loudspeakers, audio-frequency transformers have different, specially calculated input resistances. Calculation is made on the basis of the maximum output voltage of the power amplifiers UOUT and the rated power of the loudspeaker POUT:
R = UOUT * UOUT / POUT.
Thus, the loudspeakers can function with any power amplifier irrespective of its output power. However it is necessaty to remember that the rated power of the loudspeakers shall not exceed the output power of the power amplifier. Otherwise the combinied resistance of the loudspeakers will damage the amplifier’s output transformer.
Example: an annunciator’s output voltage is 120 V. In order not to “overload” the loudspeaker, the maximum resistance terminals should be energized. For example, in case of GRV-07e-30 it equals to 660Ω. In this case we obtain the following power parameters: P=U*U/R=120*120/660=21,8 W. I.e. if you need 20 W at 120 V, you will require a 30W loudspeaker.
Electrical and acoustic characteristics of our loudspeakers are similar to those of Inter-M HS-20, HS-30, HS-50 horn loudspeakers.
